The acquisition of Tear Mender provided Lighthouse for the Blind-Saint Louis (LHB) with a strategic opportunity to expand into private-sector retail markets, complementing its historical focus on government and military sales channels. The addition of the Tear Mender product line diversified LHB’s customer base and created cross-selling opportunities with its existing Quake Kare disaster preparedness kits. The DVS Group facilitated the transaction and supported the integration, including the relocation of production assets and manufacturing operations to LHB’s St. Louis headquarters, resulting in the creation of new employment opportunities within the community it serves.
