The Deal:
Alphapointe Association for the Blind, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving visually impaired individuals, engaged The DVS Group to support strategic acquisitions that would expand employment opportunities for its community. With an existing plastics extrusion division, Alphapointe sought to broaden its capabilities within that segment. The DVS Group identified several potential targets and selected Matchless Molding, Inc. as a premier acquisition candidate, negotiated the purchase agreement, and successfully closed the transaction. Following the acquisition, MMI’s assets were relocated to Alphapointe’s Kansas City facility within ninety days of introducing the two organizations.
